How Do I Get Involved?
A helpful way to think about this is gathering, connecting, and committing.
Gathering
Our Sunday Morning worship service is the gateway into our church. Join us as we sing, pray, and hear God’s Word preached.
Service is on Sunday and starts at 10:30 AM and runs for about an hour and a half. Afterwards you can stick around with some coffee and get to know some of our members. Click here to learn more about our services.
Connecting
In addition to attending our Sunday Morning worship service, you can connect and get to know us by experiencing some of our other gatherings like:
Join us Sunday afternoons at one of our Life Groups.
Looking to strengthen your relationship with God and gain a deeper understanding of His Word? Join us for our Sunday Morning Bible Study every week at 9:15 AM. Whether you’re new to the faith or have been walking with Christ for years, this is a welcoming space where we explore Scripture, ask meaningful questions, and encourage one another in our spiritual journeys.
Committing
As you’ve gathered and connected with our church, you may find Providence Church to be the place you want to make your church home. The steps for membership are simple:
Membership Matters Course: Attend one of our quarterly Membership Matters courses. This is usually held on a Saturday, during which you will get to learn more about our church’s beliefs, history, and ministries.
Q&A time with the Elders: This is an informal time where you get to know some of our Elders, and they will get a chance to hear your story and answer any remaining questions you may have.
Congregational Affirmation: This is the final step to membership, during which the church will hear from some of our Elders your desire to join the church, and the church will hear a summary of your testimony and vote you into our membership.
There are countless ways to serve here at Providence Church, as many ways as there are members! After all, for those who are Christians, service to the body of Christ is a primary way that we live out the gospel message (Matthew 25:40).
As someone new to our church, though, we want to serve you and see your spirit nurtured in this community before we ask anything of you. This is why membership is the entryway for service in our church (from volunteering in childcare to assisting with the coffee to leading a bible study). We want you to commit to loving this body, and we want to commit to loving you in the same way. Then together, we can discover the unique gifts and opportunities God has provided for you to serve this church.
